Take advantage of special offers for vets and active military on or around November 11.

Several businesses across the U.S. will honor the men and women who serve our country by giving them freebies and discounts on or around Veterans Day, November 11. So if you're a veteran or active-duty military service member, you don't want to miss out on the special offers listed below. Check back because we'll be adding more deals as we learn about them. And if you don't see your favorite establishment listed, call it directly to see if it will be honoring veterans and service members with any freebies.

Free food

Applebee's is offering veterans and active-duty military members a free entrée on November 11 (dine-in only). Proof of service required.

Bar Louie will honor veterans and active-duty military members with a free meal up to a $12 value on November 10 and November 11 when they show valid military ID or other proof of service.


California Pizza Kitchen is offering a free pizza from its menu (dine-in only and at participating locations) November 11 to veterans and active military members who come in uniform or bring proof of service.

Chili's is offering a free entrée (from a limited menu) to veterans and active-duty military November 11. Proof of military service required. Chili's also is donating 10% of sales (when this flyer is presented) November 10 to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Golden Corral will hold its annual free military appreciation dinner November 11 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. to anyone who has ever served in the military (no ID required). The dinner is open to friends and family of military members, but they will have to pay the regular dinner menu pricing.

Krispy Kreme will give a free doughnut and coffee to veterans and active military in uniform or with ID on November 11.


Little Caesars Pizza will be giving a free order of Crazy Bread to veterans and active duty military who show ID on November 11.

LongHorn Steakhouse is offering service members a free Texas Tonion appetizer and non-alcoholic beverage November 11 through November 14.

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants will offer veterans (with official ID) a free entrée from a special menu Sunday, November 10. Dine-in only.

Olive Garden is giving veterans and service members a free entrée from a special menu on November 11. Family members will receive a 10% discount on their meals.

On the Border is giving veterans and active military who dine in the restaurant November 11 a free meal from its create your own combo menu.


Outback Steakhouse will give veterans and active military (ID required) a free Bloomin' Onion and beverage on November 11. Military personnel with a valid ID also will receive 10% off their meals November 12 through December 31.

Red Lobster is offering veterans and active military a free appetizer November 11 through November 14.

Spaghetti Warehouse will have a "buy one entrée, get one free" coupon that veterans can use November 10 and 11. The coupon will be available beginning November 6 on Spaghetti Warehouse’s Web site and Facebook page.

Texas Roadhouse will honor vets and active-duty military with a free lunch (from a special menu) November 11. Proof of service required.


T.G.I. Friday's will offer veterans and military personnel (with proof of service) a free lunch on November 11 at participating locations (contact your nearby T.G.I. Friday's to see if it is participating).

Free park admission

Colonial Williamsburg is offering free admission November 8 through November 11 to active-duty military, reservists, veterans and retired military and their dependents.

Knotts Berry Farm is offering free admission for veterans and active-duty military (with ID) and one guest November 4 through January 5, 2014.

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is offering 50% off single-day admission tickets through November 11 to service members and veterans (with valid ID) to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Sesame Place.

U.S. National Parks will waive entrance fees for everyone at more than 100 parks over Veterans Day Weekend, November 9 through November 11.
